What is AEO and how is it different from SEO?
SEO (Search Engine Optimization) focuses on ranking in Google's traditional blue-link results. AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) is the practice of structuring your digital presence so AI tools — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini — cite and recommend you in their conversational responses. The mechanics are related but distinct: AEO requires entity data, structured schemas, and authority signals that SEO alone won't create.
How long does it take to see results?
AI visibility is not instant — AI models update their training data and reference sources on varying schedules. Most clients begin seeing measurable improvements within 60–90 days of implementation, with meaningful AI citation increases typically occurring in months 3–6. The Maintain service is specifically designed to compound these results over time.
Do I need a new website to work with you?
No. The Optimization package works with your existing website. We fix your backend AEO — schema markup, citation network, Google Business Profile, and content strategy — without touching your design. The Platform package is for clients who want or need a new website as part of a complete digital overhaul.
Can you guarantee I'll be recommended by AI?
We cannot guarantee specific placements in AI responses — no ethical provider can, since AI outputs are probabilistic and based on constantly evolving training data. What we guarantee is implementation excellence: every technical, content, and citation element we deliver is built to maximize your probability of AI recommendation based on the best available knowledge of how AI citation works.
What are my responsibilities as a client?
Your primary responsibility is to complete the onboarding questionnaire thoroughly and respond promptly to requests for content approvals, access credentials, or feedback during the build phase. For Maintain clients, we ask that you review your monthly report and notify us of any major business changes (market focus, new services, rebranding) so we can update your content strategy accordingly.
What happens if I want to cancel the Maintain service?
Maintain is a month-to-month service after your initial period. You can cancel with 30 days' written notice to support@aisearchmasters.com. All content, citations, and website assets we've created remain yours. Your AI visibility will not disappear overnight, but without ongoing maintenance, "identity decay" — gradual degradation of citation accuracy — will occur over time.
Is the AI Visibility Audit required before purchasing a package?
No — it's recommended but not required. The Audit gives you a precise picture of your starting point and helps us tailor your implementation. Many clients skip the Audit and go directly to Optimization or Platform, especially if they've already had a discovery call with our team. If you go directly to a package, we conduct an internal audit as part of your onboarding process.
What is "Identity Decay" and why does it matter?
Identity decay occurs when your NAP (Name, Address, Phone) data and professional information becomes inconsistent across platforms over time — old addresses, outdated phone numbers, conflicting brokerage affiliations. AI tools cross-reference dozens of sources; inconsistencies erode their confidence in your data, reducing your likelihood of being cited. Our Maintain service actively monitors for and corrects these issues every month.
Does the Platform package include the IDX/MLS subscription?
The Platform package includes full IDX integration setup, but the MLS subscription itself is separate and managed by you directly with your MLS provider. We handle all technical configuration, design, and connection — you maintain your own MLS membership.
Will this also improve my Google rankings?
Yes — many of the improvements we make (citation building, GBP optimization, structured data, E-E-A-T content) are recognized ranking signals for Google as well as AI tools. Clients typically see improvements in both traditional SEO and AI visibility. That said, AI visibility is our core focus; if your primary goal is Google ranking alone, a traditional SEO agency may be a better fit.
How do you measure AI visibility?
We use a combination of tools including our AI Intelligence Command Center, manual AI query testing across major platforms, citation audit software, and structured data validation. Your monthly report includes an AI Visibility Score that tracks your improvement over time, along with specific metrics on citation consistency, content indexation, and entity authority.
Can I upgrade my package after I start?
Yes. Many clients start with the Optimization package and later upgrade to include the Maintain service, or begin with an Audit and move into the Platform build. We apply credit from completed work where applicable. Contact us at support@aisearchmasters.com to discuss an upgrade at any time.
Who writes the blog content and FAQs?
Our in-house content team writes all blog posts and FAQs using your unique voice, market, and niche as a guide. All content is reviewed and approved by you before it goes live. We write specifically for AEO — meaning the content is structured to answer the exact questions buyers and sellers ask AI tools in your market.
Do you work with teams and brokerages, or just individual agents?
We work with individual agents, agent teams, and brokerages. For teams and brokerages, we recommend starting with a discovery call to discuss scope, as multi-agent implementations may require a custom proposal. Our standard packages are designed for individual agents but can be adapted.
What if I'm not happy with the results?
We are deeply committed to client success. If you feel your implementation didn't meet the agreed scope of work, we will work with you to identify what's missing and complete it at no additional cost. We don't offer performance-based refunds because AI visibility timelines are outside our control, but we stand behind the quality and completeness of our delivery 100%.
